Desmond Foo - Photographer

Desmond took an interest in photography at a very young age and all the way through to his tertiary education. National Service and early working life would put a temporary halt to this but in early 2000s, he would pick up photography again and transition from film to digital.

In 2005 Desmond started The Third Eye as a freelance photographer while juggling a day job with the blessing of his then boss and became a full-time professional photographer shortly after. Over time he has had the opportunity to grow and cover different genres of photography including events, corporate, sports, diplomatic, interiors, products and food in Singapore and around Asia.

Some of his clients have included, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Manpower, CIty Gas, Keppel Corporation, Jurong Port, Julius Baer, Campari, Capella Singapore, Park Hotel Clarke Quay, Park Hotel Farrer Park, Emperor Group, The Fullerton Heritage, Preferred Hotel & Resorts, National Dental Centre, Parkway Health, The Swatch Group and JWT(for Singapore Bicentenial’s Eat Your History segment).

Below is a selection of some of my own personal work.

Covid sucks.

Covid has been tough for everyone. My photography business came to an almost standstill and because I cover the F&B industry quite a fair bit, I’ve lost many clients. Good restaurants, bars and more importantly, the people behind them.
